Covid-19 position statement

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Position Statement

Date: 4th August 2021

As a small company with Directors based within and outside of the UK, The Restorative Lab is closely monitoring the spread and variances of Coronavirus COVID-19. We are taking proactive steps to meet the challenges presented by this ongoing pandemic to minimise its impact on us, the business, the clients and communities we work with. We wish all our clients good health during this time.

As with many organisations, we are taking steps to ensure that the health and safety of Anna, Tom and Terence is safeguarded, whilst where possible seeking to secure the continued operation of our business and protect the interests of our clients. We are following all UK governmental guidelines and regulations in relation to working from home and travel. In addition to this we have imposed the following measures:

  • Adhering to current public health recommendations.

  • Ensuring Terence, Anna and Tom are all fully vaccinated, and boosted.

  • Maintaining our enhanced hygiene measures (including wearing of masks where appropriate) and “social distancing” in schools.

  • Working from home wherever possible.

  • Stopping all non-essential business travel.

UPDATE: July - December 2021

As of July 2021, we have resumed some in-person training. This is considered on a case by case basis and we bring the following recommendations to each case:

  • We will discuss with each client the possibility of delivering the training online.

  • With any in-person training, group sizes are limited to 16 people maximum.

  • All meetings will be conducted online.

  • We may choose to limit the number of Restorative Lab Directors in attendance.

  • All Restorative Lab Directors in attendance will take a Lateral Flow Test the morning of the training session/event and report results to the client.

  • All Restorative Lab Directors have the NHS app enabled on their phone.

  • We would appreciate all participants with whom we are in contact with/ working with to take a Lateral Flow Test the morning of the training session/event.

  • We will no longer be using physical ‘talking pieces’ or shared items.

  • All participants will be encouraged to bring their own equipment (identified in advance) to any training session/event.

  • We will look to maximise ventilation in the venues we use.

  • We will supply hand sanitiser at our training sessions/events.

We are strongly advising our clients to continue to engage us to deliver online training and consultation

We are monitoring the situation carefully, on a country-by-country basis, seeking advice from the relevant authorities. We stand ready to adapt our approach if required.

We maintain regular contact with our clients and will keep all stakeholders updated if the situation changes materially. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with either Anna, Tom, or Terence.
