The Restorative Lab helps companies transform conflict into opportunities for growth and innovation. We offer training in conflict resolution to help people make and mend workplace relationships. We help organisations develop restorative and relational systems, processes, policies and procedures.

We help transform conflict into opportunities for growth and innovation

We know that conflict can be complex, destructive and damaging to people, organisations and the bottom line. We offer models and methods that build, maintain and mend relationships.

The Restorative Lab looks to effect change at individual, team and organisational levels. We do this by being curious as to how people’s thoughts, feelings and actions affect the culture of an organisation. We co-create practices and procedures with you that are more relational and function better. These support your people to have better inward-facing communication with one another and more effective outward-facing dialogue with clients.

Who we’ve worked with

ThinkForward delivers unique, personalised coaching programmes for young people at a key stage in their lives, enabling them to overcome the challenges they face and make a successful transition into work. The Restorative Lab is proud to be engaging the leaders and staff of ThinkForward in an innovative programme of training and development to help build an organisational culture where people feel securely connected to one another and to the organisation.

Oxfordshire County Council has identified a need to build a group of knowledgeable, skilled and committed leaders who can embody and promote Relational and Restorative Approaches as a holistic model for change within their schools. The Restorative Lab is excited to deliver their innovative and transformative leadership programme to support the development and implementation of relational and restorative practices for Oxfordshire schools.

Oasis Community Learning is a Multi-Academy Trust providing either Primary, Secondary or All-through education to over 32,000 young people in five main regions throughout the UK. The Restorative Lab has been working behind the scenes with the National Leads for Inclusion to support the development of a national strategy that makes real their radical vision for inclusion with relational and restorative practices at the heart.

The Lab is working with Moray House to develop relational and restorative approaches. Our training seeks to deepen connections among people through intentionally inclusive practices that cultivate empathy, trust, and mutual respect. As a result, they have the potential to create more equitable work environments where people are better connected, more engaged and more productive.

Why me? is a national charity delivering and promoting Restorative Justice for everyone affected by crime and conflict. We are proud to support the staff team, board and volunteers through training and Away Days.

16 leaders from Gloucestershire County Council embarked on a year-long programme of restorative training and development. The aim of this programme was to build a body of skilled and committed leaders within GCC who can embody and promote Restorative Practice (RP) as a holistic model for change across the organisation.

The Lab is working with GCC’s Restorative Practices Team to deliver two Restorative School Leadership programmes (including Primary, Secondary and Alternative Provision). These two-year transformational programmes seek to develop, embed and sustain Restorative Practice in Gloucestershire schools long-term.

Gloucester City Council commissioned our online ‘Conflict Competence’ Course. This course aims to deepen people’s understanding of conflict and to provide them with the experiences and skills to be able to deal with conflict more constructively in their everyday life, both personally and professionally.
